Staying healthy is not always easy, especially if you have issues like allergies, an inherited disease, a medical implant or immune system issues. One of the most important things you can do, though, is exercise to keep in shape. It makes your body better able to function in spite of problems that may affect your health. There are many sources of information in which you can learn about health issues that may concern you. For instance, reading about the following areas that can affect your health will provide some insight into the things you may want to know about:
Allergies
Inherited diseases
Blood types
Implanted medical devices in humans and,
Vaccinations
In today’s fast paced living, we are exposed to risks of injuries that can unexpectedly materialize while driving a car, using public transit systems or even walking. As a result, people are becoming increasingly interested in ensuring availability of help in the event they are injured in an unanticipated event, providing it is inexpensive. There are many Medical Alert Systems available to people who want to alert family members, friends and Emergency Management Teams (EMT) of their situation in the event of an unanticipated injury. These systems ensure a rapid response when it is most needed.
Most available systems focus on helping elderly people by offering devices ranging from a neck pendant equipped with a button that can alert a central station, to a bracelet featuring a telephone number that the injured person can call, to fall detection devices that alert a monitoring location when they have fallen. The Medical Alert Systems currently in use are equipment-based and function from a central station installed inside the home of the user. They are usually programmed to alert both a remote monitoring station and an emergency contact person selected by the user. Installation of this type of system is accompanied by a maintenance function that costs between $19.95 and $59.95 per month, depending on the system and its provider. These devices can detect deleterious events up to 1600 feet from the central module.
But more advanced systems using new wireless information technologies are revolutionizing the field of emergency alert devices. These systems broaden their
effectiveness range and eliminate central stations (and their monthly maintenance fees), saving users hundreds of dollars per year.
These function as an APP installed on a user’s cell phone. The recently released APP, MedRecords EMT, also enhances the capabilities of an Emergency MedicalTeam (EMT) by including inside the app the user's ID, insurance information, emergency contacts, doctors names, prescription drugs and dosages, medical, surgical, vaccinations and implants histories, allergies and inherited diseases and the name of a preferred local hospital. The app facilitates access to all of this information at the location of an injured person using Facial ID or a Fingerprint. MedRecords EMT extends the range of effectiveness worldwide by providing access wherever Apple and Google have servers to provide their services. Additionally, because MedRecords EMT simplifies the process of delivering its content it costs less than other Medical Alert Systems. It is available from the Apple APP Store or Google Play Store for a one-time cost of $8.99, saving users hundreds of dollars each year.
